It’s normal for its PVC material and sealed packaging.
It’s not chemical smell, please do not worry.
All of DAVCO's pipes have been rigorously tested and are non-toxic.
Leave it in an open place for a while and the smell will dissipate.
What should I do if the hose does not fit my fitting slightly?
1) Use a blow dryer/boiling water to heat the joint slightly to make it easier to connect,then let it cool.
PS: This method also makes it more plyable when setting up, bend to shape.

Is it food grade？
